Sage ACT! 2011 Security Improvements

 

ACT users have been asking for enhanced Security functionality inside of Sage ACT, and year over year ACT has responded by adding more features. With existing, solid security options, Sage ACT! 2011 has currently added even more options:

(1)    The ability to restrict emails from being attached to user records, while allowing attachment to non-user records

(2)    The ability to restrict email attachments in the database

(3)    The ability to restrict file attachment in the database: i.e. Word, Notes, Histories, Activities, Mail Merge, Sage ACT! Email

There are also other security options with ACT.

With A bit of customization or programming, users you can

(1) restrict fields from being editable on layouts

(2) restrict edit-ability of fields on the list view

(3) restrict access to specific layouts.
