SugarCRM Mobile Access
SugarCRM maintains three different methods of accessing your database on your mobile device:
- Sugar Mobile Browser
- Sugar Mobile
- Sugar Mobile Plus
SugarCRM Mobile Browser access lets you access Sugar from within any mobile browser. This feature is included with all Sugar CRM subscriptions. This means that mobile access is built in “for free” into every version of SugarCRM – including the basic $30/month Professional edition.
SugarCRM Mobile allows users to access SugarCRM from a mobile phone or iPad and, similarly to Sugar Mobile Browser, comes with all SugarCRM subscriptions.
SugarCRM Mobile Plus allows users to access SugarCRM via the Sugar Mobile app from their mobile device. Yet this version also includes the ability for offline synchronization. This is what happens: the app saves a copy of CRM database on the Smartphone and then syncs in the background so that your data is always up to date. This offline access is available in the following SugarCRM editions:
- SugarCRM Corporate
- SugarCRM Enterprise
- SugarCRM Ultimate
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile App
Microsoft only has one pricing plan for its online CRM system. And the mobile app for Microsoft Dynamics CRM comes with Mobile Express. Mobile Express is a method to access the CRM database via a mobile browser. Microsoft Mobile Express functions on any smartphone browser. Thus iPhone, Windows Phone 7, Android, and Blackberry are all supported within this mobile plan. In 2012, Microsoft has announced a strategic alliance with CWR Mobile in order to offer a mobile client solution.
The most recent edition of CWR Mobile CRM 2011 is available for Windows Phone, Blackberry, and Android devices. CWR typically releases upgrades twice a year. Included in the CWR Mobile and Microsoft’s partnership, the Q2 2012 service update of Microsoft CRM features Dynamics CRM Mobile, which is a built-in mobility package that takes advantage of the strengths of both firms. This mobile solution is priced at $30/month/user.
There are 3 other options available for Microsoft CRM mobile integration:
- Mobile Edge by iEnterprises is an application for MS CRM access which is available for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry.
- Resco is a mobile app developer which offers Resco Mobile CRM for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The mobile app is available for Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7, iPhone, and Android. Any of these apps can be customized with Resco MobileCRM Builder. The Standard app is free to download, and the upcoming edition is scheduled for November 2012.
- The mobile developer, MEAPON, provides two options that are native apps for Microsoft CRM. Both MECRM and MECRM Plus allow offline access on Android devices.
Oracle CRM On-Demand – Mobile Access
Oracle CRM On Demand and Oracle Fusion CRM include mobile service. For an upcharge, this mobile service is available for the following devices:
Salesforce CRM Mobile Apps and Options
Salesforce delivers a trio of mobile apps – (a) Chatter Mobile (b) Salesforce Mobile (c) Salesforce Mobile Service
Chatter Mobile - Chatter assists team members as they collaborate by implementing real-time updates feed. The Chatter Mobile app allows users to do the following tasks while on the road:
- post updates
- follow updates
- upload photos
- access Salesforce records
- send email
- send sms
The Chatter Mobile app will eventually be available for multiple devices, including iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android.
Salesforce Mobile provides a duo of mobile apps: (a) for the Sales Cloud (b) for the Service Cloud. Both Chatter Mobile and Salesforce Mobile include Chatter capability.
- Sales Cloud. This app allows you to log calls, respond to leads, access opportunities and even dashboards.
- Service Cloud. This assists managers as they collaborate with field service teams via their mobiles. Users are able manage cases and plan calendaring tasks remotely.
Salesforce Mobile Lite Service is provided at no additional charge for any customer with a Salesforce license, regardless of the subscription price or edition.
