SugarCRM Mobile – App Features

Sugar Mobile is a native mobile application for the iPhone that empowers you to access SugarCRM Enterprise from an iPhone to manage your activities and access data.

Modules Supported in Sugar CRM Mobile

 One Key feature is the ability to access the most crucial SugarCRM modules. In fact administrators are are able to enable (or disable) access to any standard or custom SugarCRM module! Below is a list of the standard SugarCRM modules that users can access by default on their iPhone.

  • Accounts
  • Contacts
  • Calls
  • Meetings
  • Tasks
  • Opportunities
  • Leads
  • Cases
  • Employees

Ability to Manage Records within Sugar Mobile

The Modules screen displays Sugar modules. Users can view, create, and edit records. They can even delete records in the modules in Sugar Mobile.

Security and Record Access within Sugar CRM Mobile

Security permissions are supported in Sugar Mobile. Just like in SugarCRM, users can view all records that are assigned to you, your team, and your direct reports.

Employees Module in Sugar CRM Mobile

In the Employees module, users can view records; administrators can create and manage records.

Ability to Customize Layouts/Screens in Sugar CRM Mobile

Users can easily adjust screens in Sugar Mobile. If you want to change the position of a module, hold it down, drag it to a new location on the screen, and click Done.

Ability to view Related Records in Sugar CRM Mobile

It is often valuable to not just view a record but also all the records related to it. To view such related records, simply tap the arrow button located on the top right-hand side that displays a menu of available actions, and tap View Related.

Sugar CRM Mobile – Note Attachments not available

Attachments within notes are not available within Sugar Mobile.

Ability to send an Email via Sugar Mobile

To email a contact, click the icon next to the email address field. The native iPhone email application will be used to send the email. Within the iPhone email application, enter the subject and message, and click Send.

Ability to Log a Call on Sugar Mobile

To call a contact from within a record, click the icon next to the Phone field. To log the call, tap the Log Call option that displays below. When you log a call, a new Sugar record for the call is created and is related to the record from which the call was made. If you do not want to log the call, tap the Do Not Log Call option.

Mapping SugarCRM Addresses on an iPhone

To locate a street address on a map, tap the icon located next to the Address field. The native iPhone map application will be used to view the location.

Viewing a Company website on Sugar Mobile

To navigate to a website, tap the icon located next to the Website field.

Sugar CRM Mobile – Quick View (Last Viewed)

Quick View displays records that you last viewed in Sugar, as well as your current activities.

Searching within Sugar Mobile

Users are empowered to search for records within any module. It is also possible to search across all modules!

Administration Capabilities in Sugar Mobile

As the Sugar admin, you can make the following configuration changes for Sugar Mobile for iPhone:

  • Users can hide any module that is visible by default.
  • Users can display modules that are not on the default list, including custom modules.
  • Users can specify the maximum number of records to display on the iPhone screen.
  • Users can specifySugar CRM Mobile -  the maximum number of related records to display on the iPhone screen.
  • Users can change the layout of List View, Edit View, and Search.
