SugarCRM vs Salesforce – User-Friendly Upgrades

This article discusses the SugarCRM vs Salesforce and their varying strategies – including upgrading.

SugarCRM Features have been gaining a lot of credit lately, and the reason is that it has been engineered with User adoption in mind. Many businesses are being burdened by the fact that their CRM Solutions would have to be greatly customized in order to even begin the implementation. Out of the box, many CRM’s are simply not user friendly. This is also true with many CRM Upgrades, where users are forced to accept their product upgrades without even needing them. This situation has been made easier to handle for SugarCRM Version 5 users, where a new framework for development was introduced to make changes handy and safe. This framework allows the users to plot their own timelines for the upgrading of their system. This is important, especially if the goal is to keep the system in perfect tandem with the growing operations of the company.

Salesforce.com Upgrades: Forcing Users to Upgrade

Salesforce.com CRM users are being forced to accept service and product upgrades according to the schedule prescribed in the subscription. This means that regardless of the timeline set by the user for its business, it would still not account for the fact that Salesforce will still implement it on the software because of its own timeline. On the other hand, every SugarCRM subscription also comes with a prescribed schedule but its difference lies in the fact that users can delay the CRM upgrade to avoid possible interference with existing mission-critical projects. This means that Sugar customers can run their CRM according to their own schedule.

“Sugar 6 is awesome! We love the look and feel, and it is so easy to navigate. It was a quick and seamless upgrade – and the new user experience is a great addition to the existing benefits we are seeing with SugarCRM.”

~ Drew Sellers, vice president of operations with NBA affiliate team the Utah Flash
